A Little Something To Remember

Courage does not always roar. Sometime courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, 'I will try again tomorrow.'

Opening Night

Gypsy's opening night was a huge success here in Sacramento! Vicki Lewis brought the house down with her astounding performance of Mama Rose. We have seven shows left, then I dive right into My Fair Lady land.

Rosie

I met Rosie O'Donnell today. I was at an audition at Ripley-Grier studios, and stepped out of the holding room, and there she was. I moseyed over, and said something stupid like, 'Hi....you don't know me, but we're doing a show together in April.' She was so incredibly nice to me. We chatted for a couple moments, then she went on to her tap lesson. It was great! I'm sooooo looking forward to starting rehearsals for 'Nanette'!!!!!

Weekly Roundup #1

I'm going to start writing a weekly update on Fridays to give you an idea of how my week went.

This was a whirlwind of a week. Still reeling from the job offer for 'No, No, Nanette', I jumped back into auditions to try to line up some more summer work. I got a callback for every audition I attended this week, which is an amazing boost for the self confidence. Wednesday I had a callback for the Atlanta Theater of the Stars production of 'Oklahoma' and for the Kansas CIty Starlight production of 'The Music Man'. Both went very well. Yesterday was my callback for Sacramento Music Circus' summer season. It's always fun to audition for these people. Maybe this year I'll get a job there. Today I have a callback for 'Half a Sixpence' at Goodspeed Opera House. I'm crossing my fingers for this one. That would be a nice steady job for a few months.

That's all I've got for now. Check back soon for updates.

New Book

I recently decided to write a guide to 'making' it in New York City.  As of now, the book is simply called, Making it in NYC: a guide to surviving and even thriving in New York City.  The book is in the early stages right now, but stay tuned.  I will most likely first publish it as an ebook from my website.  If you have any questions, please email me.
