A Little Something To Remember

Courage does not always roar. Sometime courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, 'I will try again tomorrow.'

Sitting in a dark theatre...

...watching the show slowly take shape. Teching a show is a tedious, but necessary evil in the transition from rehearsal hall to stage. It's always a long process in which the show is taken apart bit by bit to work in the scenic, costume, lighting, and sound elements. After a few days of this, you have a show. It's always amazing to me to watch just how many people it takes to put on a show. It literally 'takes a village'.

My Dressing Station

This is where I'll spend the next two months of my life!

Stage Door

Tomorrow

We begin teching White Christmas tomorrow at the Marquis. I took a small load of stuff over to the theater tonight. It's magical to walk through the stage door of a Broadway theater. I'm loving every minute of this experience!!!

Tech Rehearsals Begin

Today, at 4:00pm I am to report to the theater to be fitted for a mic belt so we can start teching the show this evening.  We're in a very small theater, so I've heard it will be very cramped.  I'm so excited to see the set in its physical form.  I've seen the renderings and it looks like a Chagall painting come to life.  I'll try to get some photos on the blog for you to see.

My three week old beard is coming in nicely too.  I'll try to get a picture of it up as well.

On the road again...

Well, folks...I'm hitting the road again. This time I'm touring North America with Fiddler on the Roof starring Topol...the star of the movie. I will be updating this blog with stories of my adventures with this show. Stay tuned.
